Buttermilk Fried Chicken Burger - SmokeyQ

Buttermilk Fried Chicken Burger

They really are SO GOOD!  Our Southern Fried chicken burgers that are crunchy, crispy, and properly seasoned and packed with BIG flavours.

They are versatile; you may make them plain or fancy as you choose. You can simply customise them to use your favourite salads and sides in place of the straightforward filling that I choose, which is crisp lettuce and tangy coleslaw. That crispy chicken is the main attraction!
Buttermilk seasoned with our Chipotle & Chicken Rub marinating the chicken for an entire night makes for incredibly juicy, tender, and flavorful results when pan-frying the chicken.

They are quite straightforward, and preparation is a breeze. The chicken is prepared ahead of time and marinated overnight in the refrigerator. Any salad can be cut, then refrigerated. The chicken coating can also be prepared beforehand.

So delicious and seriously loaded with flavour, these crispy chicken burgers are the ultimate dinner for fried chicken lovers! Ultra-crispy chicken fillets are sandwiched between soft burger buns with crunchy lettuce, mayo and tangy homemade guacamole. Way better than takeaway and so easy to make!

And for extra food porn Try the chicken on a waffle with some honey bacon rubbed popcorn then drizzled with our Cold smoked honey mmmmmm

Beef & Vegetable Skewers - SmokeyQ

Beef & Vegetable Skewers

There is nothing better than grilling over an open fire and today we did one of our favourites Beef and Vege skewers i suppose veges was a stretch we had onion and capsicum that saved more room for meat !

We love making our own meat skewers as much as we love cooking on the BBQ as the weather starts to warm up.

The best cut of beef for kebabs/skewers is definitely filet mignon/eye fillet. Other excellent beef options include scotch fillet or sirloin but one of my favourites not only for flavour and eating quality has to be rump and usually a lot cheaper than the others too.

The recipe itself is really easy to make, it just takes a bit of time to get everything threaded onto the skewers so grab someone to help you.

You’ll love them for entertaining and summer BBQs. Just keep in mind they’ll go quick so you may want to do a double batch.

It is full of flavour with the addition of our beef rub and BBQ sauce and the the process to make these is simple, you can get the kids involved and make it a fun event for the whole family.

Chicken Pasta Bake - SmokeyQ

Chicken Pasta Bake

This chicken pasta bake is flavourful, cheesy, and simple to make. The entire family approves!

Look no further if you're seeking for a new hearty dish to add to your repertoire. It's awesome to make chicken pasta bake. It's a hassle-free, flavour-filled method to feed a hungry family. You will adore it.

Let's speak chicken first, then, shall we? Nothing is worse than a delicious pasta bake with chewy or bland chicken. In fact, just thinking about it makes my eyes water. Here is my advice if you're wondering "How do I prepare chicken before adding pasta?"

Before frying the chicken, it should be almost at room temperature. Directly frying refrigerator-fresh cold meat results in it going chewy.

Butterfly the breast: By cutting each breast in half, you'll get four equal-sized breasts that will cook at a more consistent rate. It also means that they will cook more quickly.

Do not scrimp on the seasoning! I utilise our delectable chicken BBQ rub & SPG Sea salt blend for this dish.

Allow the chicken to rest before slicing so that it can keep its juices.

CAN I PREPARE THE CHICKEN IN ADVANCE?

Yep! Simply allow to cool, then place tightly covered in the refrigerator for at least one night before slicing. Although it won't be quite as soft or juicy, it still works perfectly for practical purposes!

Can I substitute cooked leftover rotisserie chicken?
To ensure that no flavour is lost when using leftover chicken, simply substitute it with the fresh chicken and season it with the sauce.

Can I substitute tuna for the chicken? Of course, you could simply add some tinned tuna instead.

Yes, you can make it vegetarian by adding any vegetables you choose by entice your children to eat their vegetables, Broccoli and cauliflower florets were added to ours.

For this quick, inexpensive chicken pasta bake, only 7 ingredients are required!
But here's a tip: replace the chicken with tuna to create two dinners using only one simple recipe.

German Pork Hock aka Schweinshaxe

German Pork Hock (Schweinshaxe)

German Pork Hock, also known as roasted ham hock or 'Schweinshaxe', is a traditional Bavarian meal that is enjoyed all year long, not only during Oktoberfest. This simple pork knuckle recipe takes a few hours to prepare, but rewards you with tasty pork crackling and tender meat with little work on your side. I had this dish in Berlin 4 years ago and have been craving to re-create it since then.

It's definitely one of my all-time favourite German dishes.

Hammer

Thors Meat Hammer

A big, bad Beef Hammer that makes the hearts of all beef lovers beat faster and puts a gleam in the eyes of die-hard BBQ fans. You can only stand in front of this imposing piece of meat and be simply amazed.
However, the Big Beef Hammer not only makes an incredible visual impact but also unfolds its full potential of juiciness, buttery texture and intense aroma once slowly smoked in the weber and rubbed in our Fierce Bull Coffee Rub.

Shin bone-in is a cut prepared from the lower part of either the front or rear leg of a cow. Because it comes from a well-exercised muscle, it has little fat and abundant connective tissue. Slow, moist cooking methods over a low heat break down the connective tissue and allow the bone to impart its juicy flavour.
